This page describes how to use dual crew management feature in Axiodis and corresponding key points.

Manage dual crew constraints for the system to be able to take into account if an attendant is necessary for the route realization and depending on different constraints (products requirement, sites requirements, ...).
...
Realization of transport plans, in which the solver can propose routes with double crews, on the basis of constraints related to the quantities on a route and/or sites.
- Quantities constraints on a route
Example : Starting from 7 tons of bagged products, triggering an escort
- Site constraints

The number of drivers / gui des available and the legation according to the composition of the double crew.
Example: Propose a number of routes consistent with the number of drivers available

Data and constraints
...
Dual crew management constraints are available in the "Data and Constraints" module :
- "Products / Products families" for triggering a double crew on a quantity constraint on a route
- "Logistic sites / Logistic profiles" for trigering triggering a double crew on a quantity constraint on site
Triggering a double crew on a quantity constraint on a route
This group of fields is used to indicate the limit from which, for a family of products, an attendant must be triggered on a route. This limit can be defined on one or more types of units :
- Weight unit
- Volume unit
- Handle unit

Triggering a double crew on a quantity constraint on site
Dual crew management parameters are available in the "Data and Constraints" module, "Routes optimization profiles" screen :
Planning module
Some options are available in the global calculation screen about dual crew management :
In this part, one can
be precisedprecise the number of drivers that can be used and the number of them that can be used as
accompanistaccompanists, with impact on the driving times (double crew as checked).
Can be also specified the number of accompanists. Accompanists can't drive, so no impact on the driving time.
- « Number of drivers» drivers »: Define for the system and calculation the number of drivers available
- « whose accompanist» accompanist »: Define for the system and calculation the number of drivers that can be also considered as an attendant
- « Number of accompanists » »: Define for the system and calculation the number of accompanist accompanists available
- « Double crew » »: Define for the system and calculation if attendant can also be considered as a driver (in this case, driving time can be increased).

The total number of drivers is a limit to the total number of usable availability time-windows. Example: if 2 vehicles available, each with 2 availability time-window (each of which may have several routes of course), it means 4 availability time-windows in total. If the number of drivers is 3, then only 3 of the 4 can be used. Same for the total number of accompanists: the total number of accompanists is a limit to the number of availability time-windows using an accompanist. |
A field can be displayed in routes grids to precise if the route need needs an attendant or not (and which kind of attendant) :
- None
- AttendantAccompanist
- Driver
