This page describes how to use Geolocation & Tracking features in Axiodis and corresponding key points.

Geolocation & Tracking features are proposed in the execution management module to track and trace in real time routes execution and resources activity activities:

  • Tracking = Routes itineraries (in real time or not according to needs)
  • Geocolocation Geolocation: Resources position (drivers, trucks, ...) in real time

Geolocation & Tracking options are linkek linked with Axiomobil (mobility solution) but can be also linked with 3rd mobility systems.

Geolocation & Tracking parameters are available in the "Administration module" module, "Mobility / Use profiles" screen :


Tracking : Following options and parameters are available about Tracking feature

Tracking mode

Define the expected mode of tracking :

  • No Tracking: no tracking is recorded by the system (for instance if only resources geocolocation geolocation is necessary)
  • End of route : tracking is recorded and sent to backoffice only at the end of the route (once the route is realized)
  • Real time : tracking is recorded by the system and sent to backoffice in real time
Recording frecuencyfrequencyFrecuency Frequency to save tracking records (default value : 2 seconds)
Backoffice sending frequencyFrecuency Frequency to send tracking records to backoffice (default value : 1 minute)
Ignore the points beyondParameter A parameter to define records to ignore wrong data from a certain speed (default value : 180 km/h)
Threshold stop speedParameter A parameter to define threshold stop speed to consider records as a stop (default value : 2 km/h)
Ignore stops lower thanParameter A parameter to ignore a set of records as stops if duration is lower than a certain value (default value : 30 seconds)
Ignore driving times lower thanParameter A parameter to ignore a set of records as driving times if distance is lower than a certain value (default value : 100 meters)
Identifying signal absences beyondParameter A parameter to identify records signal absences from beyond a certain time (default value : 60 seconds)

Tracking view




This screen display tracking activity and help the user to analyze better routes execution in real time or delayed by displaying all waypoints (longitude, latitude) recorded  and tracked from the device with following information :

  • None: the grid display all waypoints (longitude, latitude) recorded  and tracked from the device without any grouping
  • Group by activity: the grid display all waypoints (longitude, latitude) recorded  and tracked from the device but grouped by activity: stop (delivery or collection) or driving activity (and based on an automatic algorithm to identify stop or driving activity)
